Building upon the Byblos municipality success, we expand our consultancy to other towns such as Jdeideh, Baouchrieh and El-Sed municipalities. The plan was tested through a pilot project in a selected area in Baouchrieh, it achieved the preset objective and met the Key performance indicator. We at CHREEK leverage on the Environmental, Social and Economic benefits of the Upcycling thus we launch initiative therefore to highlight the negative effects of plastic on the environment, in collaboration with the Lebanese American University, a number of concerned NGO’s, several municipalities, schools and local communities; we grouped 50,000 bottles and used them to build first of its kind Phoenician ship built entirely from plastic bottles. The ship sailed from the port of Byblos to Saint George bay in Beirut.
